In 2008, Bella Thorne played Ruthy Spivy in the My Worst Enemy TV series and Rancy Henrickson in Big Love in 2010. She gained popularity with her role as CeCe Jones in the Shake It Up Disney series, which ran from 2010 to 2013.

Early life and education
The young actress was born in Pembroke Pines, Florida, on October 8th, 1997, to parents Tamara Thorne and Delancy Reinaldo Rey Thorne. She has three siblings, all of whom are also actors. In 2007, her father, who was from Cuban descent, died in a motorcycle accident, when Bella was only 9 years old.
After the death of her father, it was her mother who took care of all four children with limited finances. This prompted Bella to work as a child actress so that she could help support her family. Her mother became her manager.
Last year, Bella Thorne admitted that she had been sexually abused from an early age up until the age of 14. She also told Chelsea Handler in 2017 that she was seriously bullied as a child because of her dyslexia, the fact that her first language was Spanish, and because she lived in the suburbs.
The young actress was diagnosed with dyslexia when she was in first grade. After she became bullied in school, she left public school and was homeschooled. She gradually overcame her dyslexia and improved her learning abilities after attending the Sylvan Learning center. Pretty soon, she began reading and writing better than the other children her age.
The first appearance of Bella Thorne on film was an uncredited role in Stuck on You from 2003. Since then, she has appeared in various TV shows and movies, including Entourage, as well as The O.C. in the role of young Taylor Townsend.
