The early years of Dr. Buckeye Bottoms
Bartholomew Buckeye Bottoms was born on January 25th, 1977, in Santa Barbara, California to famous parents – actor and producer Timothy Bottoms, and Alicia Cory, a folk singer.
While Bartholomew was still a toddler, his parents decided to separate and began a custody battle for their son.
His father, an actor who has played in over 200 films, married another woman, and proceeded to have three more children. Young Bartholomew grew up with his new step-siblings, step-mom, and father.
His siblings, William, Bridget, and Benton Bottoms, are all very supportive of their older brother’s career.
After graduating, Dr. Buckeye Bottoms moved to Santa Cruz to become a large animal veterinarian and remained at the position for a few years. For his job, he often needed to travel to Hawaii to attend to sick animals.
When he decided to move to Hawaii a couple of years later, the young vet furthered his knowledge of marine animals. In Hawaii, he proceeded to work as a mobile vet who covered all of the islands there.
His TV career
Dr. Buckeye Bottoms worked in Hawaii for some time without drawing too much attention to himself. But after his colleague and famous vet Dr. Scott Sims died from cancer in 2015, the young Bottoms was asked to take his position in the National Geographic Wild TV series starring Sims. The original series portraying Dr. Sims was called “Aloha Vet.”
After he agreed, the pilot of “The Adventures of Dr. Buckeye Bottoms” aired in February 2017.
The show follows the everyday life and work of the Hawaiian-based mobile veterinarian doctor. In the series, you can watch him tend to all kinds of animals in need – large and small on all Hawaiian Islands.
Bartholomew Buckeye Bottoms has also appeared on the TV shows “Animal Fight Night” and the original show hosted by his late colleague Dr. Sim “Aloha Vet.”

Almost nothing is known about the private life of Dr. Bartholomew Buckeye Bottoms. There have been rumors that he is married, but has never actually been spotted by the media or in public by either a man or a woman.
