On 13 February 2017, during the midseason premiere of the show, The Walking Dead, at the end of the show, there was a text that flashed on the screen which said, “In Loving Memory of James Heltibridle.” At that time, everyone asked who James Heltibridle was and why the premiere was dedicated to him.

James Heltibridle was born in the United States on 29 November 1988. He was an American by nationality; however, there is no other information available about his parents, family, siblings, childhood and early life.
Heltibridle went to a local school, and later, he studied at North Carolina School of Arts, which is a public, coeducational arts conservatory in Winston-Salem in North Carolina. At the School of Arts, Heltibridle gained specialized education in the areas of Visual Merchandising, Art Direction and SketchUp Modeling. In 2013, Heltibridle graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in production design and film production.
After graduating, Heltibridle started his career in the film industry, where he became a production designer. At that time, he worked as a production designer on two short films, Memories in the year 2012 and in 2013, and on Death of the Robot.
When the popular post-apocalyptic horror television series, The Walking Dead was in its 6th season, Heltibridle joined the show as part of the crew. He worked for The Walking Dead in the props department. Heltibridle was an integral part of The Walking Dead series. Although it is not very clear how long he was part of the series, it seems to have been associated with it for the last few years.
He was very passionate about the show, and his tweets in 2015 about the series demonstrate that. Heltibridle posted selfies along with Norman Reedus, Daryl Dixon, who attended the season 6 premiere of the show in 2015, at the Madison Square Garden. He also posted his pictures with Chloe Bennett, who was Austin Nicole’s date, the actor who played the role of Spencer Monroe in The Walking Dead.

James Heltibridle’s Death
It came as a rude shock to those who knew James Heltibridle, when he met with a motor accident on 10 November 2016 and died. The young filmmaker died when he was on his way home after his day on the set of The Walking Dead 19 days before his 28th birthday.
Many of The Walking Dead’s crew members, his fans and his friends expressed their shock over the sudden death of James Heltibridle on their social media. Michael Jaegers, announced the death of Heltibridle on the Undead Fan Facebook group and described Heltibridle as among the “unsung heroes” of the show and also of the film industry. Michael Rooker, who in the earlier seasons of The Walking Dead, played the role of Merle Dixon, posted about the death of Heltibridle on his Instagram account.
Although Heltibridle is no more, he will always be remembered by everyone who reads the story of his life. He was extremely talented and was dedicated to his work and was very hardworking. Heltibridle was buried in Glen Haven Cemetery in Maryland, where his mother lives.
